About:

Adjustment to a new culture and unfamiliar country can be daunting. Sometimes some education and information about new customs, expectations and ways of doing things can make a great difference to one’s social and employment opportunities and integration.

The aim of this group is to support the Indian and Pakistani youth with their wellbeing, to promote connectedness, and reduce isolation. The support group provides the participants with guidance and advice about mental health, self-care and a safe space to share their concerns and challenges.

Contact us for any questions:  supportgroup@mhfa.org.au or phone 1300 643 287.

Facilitator:

Aysha Umair, an immigrant herself has faced the challenges and outgrown it with great confidence. With a background in Psychology, Aysha has been facilitating this support group helping a lot of Pakistani women who feel stranded.
