The Mental Health Foundation Australia aims to assist the community in many ways - especially those in need of immediate assistance and support. We are planning to deliver over 500 freshly cooked vegetarian meals every Wednesday within the City of Knox.
We are requesting the community to be part of this giving process. To get involved, we ask anyone who is able, to donate groceries / staples or a sum. Your support would mean a lot to us and to those who will benefit from these meals. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families in need.
We are a registered Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). As such, all donations over $2 are fully tax deductible. Your contribution not only makes a positive impact on mental health but also provides you with a tax benefit.

We are excited to announce an important initiative aimed at supporting the community in the City of Knox. As part of our ongoing efforts to make a positive impact, we are planning to deliver over 500 freshly cooked vegetarian meals to those in need every Wednesdays starting from 3rd April 2024 within the City of Knox area.
We believe that community support is vital for the success of this initiative, and we invite organizations like yours to join us in this giving process. There are two main ways you can contribute:
You can help by donating groceries or staples that will be used to prepare the meals. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
Organizations in the City of Knox are invited to collect meals and distribute them within their own communities every Wednesday between 12:30pm – 1:30pm. Our initiative kicks off on Wednesday, 3rd April 2024.
If you prefer, you can also make a monetary donation to support our cause. We have made it convenient for you to donate through our website.
There are other ways to contribute to this initiative such as volunteering. We need 8 volunteers every Wednesday to assist in set up, cooking meals, packing meals, and cleaning. Interested individuals can email vasan.srinivasan@mhfa.org.au
Where does the money go? Who does it help?
Mental health issues affect countless lives, causing suffering and impacting families and communities. Your donations empowers us to provide essential resources and expand our support programs such as counselling services and mental health support groups to those who need it most.
Your donation helps us educate the community about early warning signs, preventative measures, and available professional support options. By raising awareness and reducing stigma, we can create a society that is better equipped to recognise and address mental health concerns.
Tragically, suicide rates have been on the rise. Your support enables us to implement crucial suicide prevention initiatives, including outreach efforts, crisis support and educational campaigns aimed at saving lives.
Your support can transform lives and bring hope to those who are struggling. By donating to the Mental Health Foundation Australia, you become a crucial part of our mission to build a mentally healthy Australia. Together, we can create a future where mental health challenges are met with understanding, compassion, and effective support.
