Manager
Aisha has 12 years of experience in the mental health field. She is passionate about assessing and managing mental health disorders affecting children, adolescents, adults, and their families. Aisha has a particular interest in working with children, migrants, refugees and people of all ages from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who have experienced psychological trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Jotpreet Kaur
Community Development Officer
Jotpreet Kaur is a passionate Community Development Officer at the Mental Health Foundation Australia (MHFA), dedicated to empowering individuals facing social, emotional, and financial challenges. With a strong focus on mental health advocacy, social welfare, and multicultural engagement, she plays a key role in building inclusive, accessible support networks for diverse communities across Australia. Jotpreet began her journey with MHFA as a Mental Health Intern, continues as a Mental Health Advocate Volunteer, and later transitioned from part-time and full-time employment. During this time, she contributed to multicultural community engagement strategies, participated in research projects, and supported MHFA National Mental Health Month initiatives. With over five years of experience in residential aged care, she has developed deep expertise in delivering compassionate, person-centred support. In her current role, Jotpreet oversees the operations of the MHFA Wellness Hub Psychology Clinic—managing client assessments, tracking progress, coordinating referrals for specialized care, and supporting the delivery of MHFA's Mental Health First Aid training programs. With a strong commitment to academic, mentorship, and professional development, she manages university students from diverse disciplines, including social science, psychology science (majors in child & family), and social work, as well as day-to-day support to master's of counselling and psychology interns. Through her work, she continues to advance MHFA’s mission, championing holistic and culturally responsive mental health services for communities from all walks of life.

Amanda Cops
Support Groups Administrator for MHFA & Bipolar Life Victoria,
President - Bipolar Life Victoria
Amanda has many years experience in many industries both professionally and in a volunteering capacity. Her interest in mental health began after being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. Her lived experience of people with Bipolar Disorder in the community led her to establish two women’s support groups for Bipolar Life Victoria and is currently the President and Support Group Administrator. Amanda brings her expertise and desire to provide quality support groups to the role of Support Group Administrator for the Mental Health Foundation Australia. Her passion is to achieve a truly inclusive therapeutic support service for the community with the Mental Health Foundation Australia.

Nithya Viswanathan
IT Systems Analyst
Head of IT, Media and Marketing
Nithya is a dedicated professional with a specialised expertise in IT and Digital Media, she assists the MHFA in managing their websites and the new Supportive Mind app. She has successfully led the Media initiatives for the MHFA in the past few years, curating empowering mental health messages and raising awareness about the Foundation's vital services. With a passion for mentorship, she manages university students from diverse disciplines, including Media, IT & Business through the Internship Program since 2023. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Information Technology (majoring in Mobile Apps Development). Driven by a growing interest in AI, cybersecurity and automation design, she is committed to leveraging innovative technologies to enhance the accessibility of mental health education and services through digital platforms.

Vy Nguyen
Social Media Coordinator
Vy is currently pursuing a double degree in Business and Media & Communications at Swinburne University. With a interest in both fields, she joins the Mental Health Foundation Australia as the Social Media Coordinator to contribute to various marketing initiatives and media productions, enhancing her practical skills alongside academic studies. She is passionate about using media as a tool for social impact and get involved in projects that promote mental health awareness for everyone.
