Workplace Giving

Would you like to make a positive social impact while simply doing your job?

Through workplace giving, you can passively donate to support the Mental Health Foundation Australia’s initiatives towards achieving “Better Mental Health for All”.

At the Mental Health Foundation Australia, we are dedicated to being a pillar of support, providing the essential resources and care that empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives.

Donations are tax deductible

We are a registered Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). As such, all donations over $2 are fully tax deductible. Your contribution not only makes a positive impact on mental health but also provides you with a tax benefit.

What is Workplace Giving?

Workplace giving enables employees to donate a portion of their salary to charities directly from their paycheck. It's an easy and tax-effective way to support causes, often with employer matching to increase impact.

Signing up for workplace giving ensures a steady income stream towards MHFA, making it easier to plan and reduce administrative costs. Your contribution means more resources go directly to MHFA's initiatives, making a bigger impact on mental health support in our communities.

Why support us?

The Mental Health Foundation Australia is a community-based not-for-profit that receives just $81,000 per year in funding from the Victorian state government. By donating to MHFA, you are helping to sustain and expand our essential services:

$20 counselling per session, accessed by in-person and telehealth.

Our Wellness Hub Psychology Clinic offers low-cost psychological counselling services at just $20 per session and can be accessed in-person or over telehealth. No referral needed and open to all age groups.

Raising awareness about mental health matters in diverse cultural communities and reducing stigma.

Our signature National Multicultural Mental Health Month awareness campaign, occurring annually in October, reaching out to all Australian communities of diverse cultural backgrounds in this vital cause of raising awareness of mental health and reducing stigma. This initiative began in 2018 as Victorian Mental Health Month, which grew into National Mental Health Month and eventually became a nationally recognised initiative.

Our Helpline service offers assistance to those struggling with their mental health and in finding support.

Helpline phone support first developed during the 2020-2021 COVID pandemic, which operates primarily as a mental health support and referral service. We provided support to over 1500 callers during the pandemic, which significantly impacted people's mental health, especially with feelings of loneliness, isolation, anxiety and grief from losing loved ones to COVID. Presently the Helpline continues to offer assistance to those struggling with their mental health, perhaps for the first time, in finding support.

How can you get involved?
